Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses (RNs) who are prepared, through advanced education and clinical training, to provide preventive and acute health-care services to individuals of all ages. Nurses after completing bachelor's degree, can apply for master's degree. Nurse Practitioners are independent workers of healthcare team.



Family Nurse Practitioner Program-The program provides training which are related to family health. The duties of a family nurse practitioner are very flexible in most cases and independent of the usual environment where the nurse always expects the orders of the doctor. The program deals with health assessment for people of all ages. The programs also teach chronic and single acute illnesses and the techniques of managing multiple problems with any patient. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program- The course of PNP program includes different topics related to health problems of adolescents, infants and children. As a pediatric nurse, you will go through on-the-job training at any clinic or healthcare facility where you will give care to children, adolescents and infants. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Programme- The program prepares sophisticated practice neonatal nurses to meet the requirements of high-risk infants and their families in tertiary care facilities. NNPs handle patients with consultation and collaboration from doctor. The sophisticated nurses are independent to work in accordance to their own judgment in diagnosis and initiation of medical processes. Being an advanced practice neonatal nurse, the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is involved in education, consultation and research.



Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program- This program offers registered nurses advanced education in pathophysiology, pharmacology and health assessment using a combination of theory, research, and hands-on experience. Women's health nurse practitioners provide clinical management of women from adolescence to the elder years in a variety of gynecological, reproductive, and primary care settings. Students will have clinical experience in healthcare settings. Programs run two to three years depending on the number of credit hours and whether a full-time or part-time option is selected.
